Recently I saw a tag called ’25 songs, 25 days’. There is a description for every day, for example, ‘A song from your childhood’. You pick one song every day along with an explanation of why you picked that particular song. I really liked this tag, but I want to spread it over a couple op posts instead of 25 days. Here is part one! I hope you like it!
I’ve tried to include different artists I listen to, but there are still A LOT left! Some questions I really didn’t know, sorry.
1 – A song from your childhood
In my childhood, we used to listen to artists like James Blunt, David Gray, Racoon and James Morrison so they really remind me of my childhood. This is one of my favourite songs of James Blunt.
4 – A song that calms you down
I’ve discovered Dave & Tim not that long ago, but when I heard this song I was sold! I love it! First of all, the guitar playing is amazing but also his voice is beautiful with a lot of emotion.
5 – A song that is often stuck in your head
Bastille is one of my favourite bands (as you would probably know if you read my blog more regularly). This song really gets stuck in my head, it can pop up at random times haha.
6 – A song that reminds you of a best friend
I’ve sang this song at a small gig for one of my best friends. I sent it to her earlier because I knew you would love it, and she did. Me too, so I learned it on the piano.
7 – A song that reminds you of the past summer
In my childhood we would also listen a lot to Tracy Chapman, especially in the car. So I knew the original version of Fast Car way before the remix ;). I still prefer the original version, I love the voice of Tracy. This song really reminds me of travelling in the car to our vacation destination in my childhood.
8 – A song that reminds you of your “first love”
I hope he isn’t reading this because he will probably recognize it… 😅 So yeah, I won’t explain why.
9 – A song that makes you hopeful
Recently I went to a concert of David Gray which was amazing! I love almost every song of him, but this is one of my favourites. I makes me really calm.
I love so many songs! I just love music 😄. I hope you take the time to listen to these songs and maybe you will discover a new artist you like!
What is your favourite song? And which musician do you recommend to me? Let me know in the comments!
